The Port where four ships, MSC Asya, X- Press Suez, Maersk Atlanta and NCC Najam carrying containers and palm oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Multi-Purpose Terminals respectively on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, two more ships MOL Glooe and Khor gas carrying containers and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
A total of six ship MSC Asya, X-Press Suez, Maersk Atlanta, Amis Leader, UACC Shamiya and Thor Gas are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal and Palm oil respectively last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 94,460 tonnes comprising 77,217 tonnes import cargo and 17,423 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,371 Containers (TEUs), (3,516 TEUs imports and 999 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Two ships, X-Press Suez and UACC Shamiya sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while another ship Amis Leader is expected to sail on same day in the afternoon. Six ships, MOL Globe, Ikan Salmon, Ocean Enterprise, Flag Zannis, Khor gas and Gao Cheng-3 carrying Containers, Coal, Seeds, LPG and Palm oil are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-4 PIBT, FAP, EVTL and LCT respectively on Wednesday.
While two more Containers ships Teno and Gulf Bridge are due to arrive at Port Qasim.
